PUTTING THE ART BACK IN MARKETING
We talk a lot about the courage it takes to be seen as a writer.
To put our words out into the world, to face potential criticism or rejection.
Or, perhaps worse, no reaction at all.
But the bravest thing you’ll ever do as a writer — is keep your words to yourself.
When everyone wants you to “create content!” and turn everything into a palatable, digestible lesson… there’s power in silence. In writing the things nobody will ever see.
We’re told that to stay relevant, we must always be visible, always be “providing value.”
BUT without the pressure to impress or perform, your writing will be looser, more honest.
You can take risks you might not dare if you knew others would see. You can explore ideas and emotions you usually keep hidden, even from yourself.
Unseen writing doesn’t equal hiding (that’s a whole conversation for another day).
