Master the art of community-driven writing that connects deeply and converts consistently.
Writer. messaging Strategist. Professional uncoverer of inconvenient truths.
My dad took me to his boxing gym as a kid. He'd taught me the offside rule so boys couldn't knock me at school, carried me through the tunnels at Anfield with matching ribbons in my pigtails, spoke to me exactly the same way he spoke to my brothers. No softening. That's the inheritance I got from him: the casual, steady assumption that I could do anything I decided to do.
But I still spent about fifteen years not deciding to be a writer. While writing, professionally, every single day.
I was writing from the time I could hold a pen. Books I'd never finish. Terrible songs. Letters to the Queen (true story). But I called myself an advertising executive instead. Then a digital marketer. Then a social media specialist. I ghostwrote books that hit bestseller lists and could never put my name to them. Generated millions for other people's brands. Studied creative writing at masters level, graduated with a First-Class degree in journalism and still wouldn't put "writer" in my bio.
Then I moved to Costa Rica and decided I was going to live my life at full volume. That was eleven years ago. We live in a treehouse in the rainforest now with two kids, and I've finally admitted what I am.
I help people do the thing I took too long to do. Find the ideas that have been sitting in their hearts, too specific, too strange, too much like themselves, and build the language that actually does justice to those ideas. Then put it in front of the people who need to hear it.
I have nearly two decades of experience, a first-class degree, and a deep allergy to writing and marketing that sounds like anyone but you. I know the formulas. I know exactly how to write copy that converts. I also know what it costs to sound like everyone else. That's the thing I'm not interested in selling you. I'm interested in bodies of work. Writing that builds something over time, that reaches the right people, that makes those people feel found.
Marketing that feels like art but sells like hot-cakes and a creative life that is as fulfilling as it is profitable.
